Cody Perlmeter is General Counsel for Epic Real Estate Partners. In his present role, Mr. Perlmeter sources and manages Epic’s various legal counsel in matters ranging from corporate structuring to shopping center acquisition/financing to landlord-tenant disputes. In his time at Epic, Mr. Perlmeter has also been closely involved in the underwriting, acquisition due diligence, financing and asset management of Epic’s portfolio of shopping centers.

Prior to joining Epic, Mr. Perlmeter was a corporate attorney focusing on mergers and acquisitions for Vinson & Elkins LLP. In this role, Mr. Perlmeter worked alongside large private equity funds and institutional clients in completing their purchase and sale of businesses across industries.
Prior to joining Vinson & Elkins, Mr. Perlmeter was an Associate in the alternative investments arm of Goldman Sachs Asset Management. During his four years at Goldman Sachs, Mr. Perlmeter advised and assisted pensions, endowments and family offices in investing in hedge funds through Goldman’s Hedge Fund Strategies platform, a $20 billion fund of funds and advisory service.

Mr. Perlmeter is a graduate of the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in International Economics. Mr. Perlmeter obtained his Juris Doctorate with honors from Southern Methodist University and is a Level III Candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.
