Jerry Garza serves as an Acquisitions Analyst for Epic Real Estate Partners. His responsibilities include underwriting prospective investments and coordinating the due diligence process through closing. He is also responsible for preparing and presenting investment committee memoranda.
Prior to joining Epic, Mr. Garza served as a Development Analyst for GGP, the second largest retail REIT in the U.S. While at GGP, Mr. Garza oversaw reporting for GGP’s $1.1B+ development portfolio, underwrote prospective redevelopment projects ranging from $5M-$200M and conducted pre-development due diligence.
Prior to GGP, Mr. Garza worked as a Financial Analyst at L3 Capital, an urban retail real estate investment firm, where he helped underwrite prospective investments, locate potential capital partners and conduct market research. Prior to L3, Mr. Garza held a similar role working as an Analyst for IBT Group, a full-service development firm, where he worked on ground-up retail, multi-family and mixed-used developments.
Mr. Garza graduated from DePaul University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a minor in Real Estate. Mr. Garza received several awards while at DePaul including the Dean’s Outstanding Senior Award and Student Innovation Award. Mr. Garza is also a former licensed real estate broker in Illinois.
